Vitakraft Sun Seed is home to a family of brands producing premium pet food, treats, bedding, and supplements for small animals, birds, and other animal companions. Together, our family of brands including Vitakraft®, Sunseed®, Quiko®, and Ginger Ridge® has been creating quality products to help pet owners care for their companions for over 180 years.
As pet parents ourselves, we take our role of helping others to care for their pets seriously. Through experience, research, and innovation, we strive to create safe, nutritional products that promote the health and happiness of pets, and help strengthen the human-animal bond.

In 2008, two family owned companies Vitakraft and Sunseed joined together to create a special new company, appropriately (and creatively) named Vitakraft Sun Seed, Inc. Each had been in business for a considerable length of time and each had a strong reputation as being an innovative, quality producer of premium bird and small animal products.
For this reason, both brands exist separately today and leverage the resources of the combined companies. This includes on staff nutritionists, veterinarians, zoologists and engineers not to mention more than 1600 employees worldwide, all dedicated to enhancing the lives of both pets and pet parents.
