Gammer

The British DJ and music producer wants to redefine dance music and Gammer has become an icon of what aficionados know as happycore or happy rave. He founded the record labels Together We Rise and Muffin Music. He’s released an abundance of hardcore music and was signed to AWSum after the release of his track “Go.” Gammer has also performed under the name of Matt Lee and released tracks under the Essential Platinum label. He received the Song of the Year Award at the 2006 Hardcore Heaven Awards and title of Hardcore DJ of the Year in 2012.

Rezz

Recording Room

Born in the Ukraine, Rezz is a DJ and record producer headquartered in Canada. Her style is hard-hitting, gritty, and she was signed by the Mau5trap record label. A popular DJ at the age of 16, she wanted to explore her own style and began producing her own songs. Rezz was in the Top 20 on the Billboard Dance Chart in 2016 and her “Mass Manipulation” release was named at the Juno Awards as Best Electronic Album of the Year.

Taska Black

The artist has made a name for himself in EDM by shaking up and reshaping the traditional boundaries of every genre he tackles. His style moves from fluid to smoldering to passionate at the drop of a beat. A classically trained producer, he’s a member of the independent bitbird record label headquartered in the Netherlands.

Droeloe

Rapp Music

The Netherlands duo is comprised of Dutch producer, Vincent Rooijers, and visual designer, Hein Hamers. Rather than just playing dance tunes, they interweave complex stories through their music with the use of spectacular visuals. They captured the attention of the bitbird label with their bass and trap, releasing music through that label, along with Monstercat and Lowly Palace. They’ve toured extensively and are favorites at music festivals.

Medasin

The Dallas DJ has been making music since the age of 12 and was promoting his music on MySpace before social media became the platform for stardom that it is today. By the age of 14 he’d done a stint in rehab and two years later he was using music as an outlet through networking, producing and recording. He won the iStandard competition that would help launch his career. He emphasizes a strong beat in his music that makes it easy for audiences to dance to.

DJs – Heroes of the Dance Floor

DJs are responsible for the popularity of EDM around the world, changing the way people dance and listen to music as a whole. Each artist has their own style that’s as unique as they are and DotCom Magazine’s Top 5 EDM artists to watch have a sound for everyone.
