Rich started his legal career about 20 years ago doing defense work for larger companies and insurance carriers. He was named as the youngest partner in a 100-lawyer-plus regional defense firm but quickly realized that he was better suited working for those that were injured, not against them. This was never more obvious to Rich than when his dad, a union carpenter, suffered a disabling fall at work. His dad was rejected by multiple firms and largely left to fend for himself as he remained out of work. When a life-altering injury affects you or a family member you learn very quickly that the system is not set up to protect everyday working-class people. Rich remembers what he and his family went through simply to ensure they were treated fairly. He has set up his firm and overall practice to ensure other families do not go through what his did.
