Chicago, Illinois | April 3, 2023 – April 6th marks the sixth anniversary of NewClub Golf Society, one of the first real-estate-free golf clubs in America. Since its founding, NewClub has grown from a Chicago-based club to an internationally recognized institution – accredited by the USGA and PGA of America. NewClub focuses on reducing the sport’s barriers to entry through affordable memberships, community outreach, and increased accessibility.
The concept for NewClub emerged from a 2015 pilgrimage to the home of golf in St. Andrews, Scotland. It was there, on The Old Course, that founder and CEO Matt Considine realized golf clubs in America were more concerned with exclusivity than enjoyment. After much research and risk-taking, NewClub was officially founded in 2017. Ever since, the club has made it its mission to enrich lives by connecting passionate golfers with their most compelling golf. Through their proprietary mobile app, NewClub offers members tee times at a variety of local courses, one-of-a-kind golf experiences, and an entire community of like-minded golf enthusiasts.
