1. Judie, please tell us about Silverwood Studios. What is the elevator pitch?

Silverwood Studios is an integrated marketing communication company that serves up solutions to help leaders of organizations connect with their target audience. This includes website design and development as well as promotional material, SEO and video marketing with the objective of producing measurable results for our clients.

2. What is the one thing that makes Silverwood Studios great?

Silverwood Studios is a one-stop shop allowing us to build our clients’ brands across multiple channels. We manage each project from conception to completion while maintaining ongoing communication and collaboration with our clients. We firmly believe this open dialogue allows for mutual understanding and long term relationships.

3. Please tell us what is the key to being a great entrepreneur?

Doing what it takes to get a job done with the objective of exceeding your client’s expectations.

4. What is the best advice you can give to a young entrepreneur just starting out with a new venture?

Perseverance, Performance and Dedication. If you have a vision you are passionate about, stick with it. Believe in yourself and do the job to the best of your ability. Reach out to people you trust to demo your new product or service. Publicize their positive reviews. Do a little more than was expected. You will slowly build trust and credibility and word will spread.

5. What is the one thing that you, as a person, want to be known for?

Honesty.

6. When building a business, what is the one most important thing to keep in mind at all times?

Don’t ever lose faith. You might not always get the job or win over every client at first. If you believe in yourself there is no obstacle you can’t overcome. Relationships with other business owners and strong leaders work to your benefit when you need to bounce off ideas or ask questions.

7. When hiring employees, what is the one most important thing you look for?

A strong work ethic. When an employee cares about the work they produce and is motivated to understand what it takes to get the job done, we know we have found a valuable asset to our team.

8. What is your “Why”? Why do you get up in the morning?

I start out the day motivated to work towards our clients’ goals. People come to us with a variety of different business ideas and objectives. It is exciting and rewarding to be able to help them bring it to fruition. We become part of the same team and we all celebrate in their success!

9. What is the one thing that makes a great company?

Good people that put the customer/client first.

10. What is the one thing that makes a great leader?

The ability to communicate ideas and solutions.
