This year marks the launch of Climate Vine, an action-oriented program designed to accelerate your climate impact by unlocking ideas, talent, and capital.

The new community was founded by Candice Ammori, who previously started and led a pioneering climate tech community, On Deck Climate Tech, which involved over 600 people in less than two years, and sparked hundreds of career switches into climate innovation, dozens of companies formed, and over $350m invested.

Candice Ammori, Founder of Climate Vine, commented: “When I dedicated my career to climate, I knew I wanted to be surrounded by scientists, policy experts, and thinkers who were more entrenched in the sector than me. Researching further, I found that many people felt siloed in their own fields of expertise and wanted to meet others – especially given the complexity and speed required to diagnose and solve climate problems. That’s why I built Climate Vine as a vibrant, action-oriented program where people with diverse perspectives and expertise come together to break down silos, collaborate and help people accelerate their climate impact.”

Climate Vine Members are selected through a competitive application process in which only about 17% of applicants have been historically accepted, then brought together through a focused work group with peer-learning opportunities, personalized support, and accountability. Climate Vine members build connections in a supportive community environment that is designed to catalyze their climate action and collaboration potential.

Chante Harris, ClimateTech Strategist and Investor, Co-founder of WOC/CS: “No matter how many years people are in the climate sector, there’s always a need to collaborate across silos and areas of expertise. That’s why I’m excited to be part of the inaugural group at Climate Vine because, without community, it’s easy to burn out. As part of Climate Vine, I can be inspired and supported by others with the same passion and different approaches.”

Climate Vine features an annual Membership working group with over 180 hand-selected participants from diverse backgrounds, ranging from scientists to entrepreneurs and corporate leaders, policy and government actors and private investors, and frontline community advocates and functional leaders.

Climate Vine member Sedale Turbovsky, founder of Opengrants, added, “I’m looking forward to diving into Climate Vine’s first learning session about unlocking the government’s role in climate deployment. We need expertise from across industries to come together to figure out how best to use the foundational investments and incentives in the new legislation to develop and scale climate ambition and innovation rapidly.”
